About Mr. Mahaffey began his career with Exxon Chemical in engineering and technical assignments and later moved into sales and marketing. He conducted merger and acquisition services for The Sterling Group and led an LBO program targeting a segment of the specialty chemical industry for a Boston based financial service firm. He has worked with an SEC registered investment advisor and also as an independent equity analyst with Redchip and other research providers covering chemical and energy stocks. He received a “Five Star” rating from Yahoo Finance for performance results covering independent oil refiners.
